Fixed ladders and ladder systems for buildings and industrial facilities
In contrast to other kinds of ladders, fixed ladders are permanently installed on a building or a piece of machinery. ZARGES fixed ladders are available in single- or multi-section configurations. Such ladders are also known as escape ladders, emergency ladders, safety ladders, building ladders, fire escape ladders and stationary ladders.

Fixed ladder systems are subject to a separate set of standards
Because they are permanently installed on buildings, fixed ladders are subject to different standards from mobile ladders. For example, fixed ladders on buildings are subject to DIN 18799, those used for accessing machinery to DIN EN 14122-4, those installed in shafts to DIN EN 14396, and those used as emergency or escape ladders to ASR 2.3. Depending on their applications, fixed ladder systems must fulfil various safety requirements – cheap and inferior fixed ladder systems are not the best choice because a fixed ladder's quality is decisive when it comes to successfully saving lives.

Configure fixed ladders and fixed ladder systems to specifications online
ZARGES fixed ladders can be easily configured using an online configurator for fixed ladders (www.zargeskonfigurator.com). The configuration process already takes into account all applicable standards for fixed ladder systems.
All configuration options and individual parts for fixed ladders are available from ZARGES. Safety cages, platforms, access aids at the top and bottom, fall arrester systems, crossover platforms, and safety barriers – fixed ladders are some of the safest ladder systems when properly installed.
