Fully Equipped Without Compromise
All Essential Features Included from the Entry-Level Model

Chair in the Air
After a fall comes rescue: The integrated system allows the user to move into a seated position in just 5 seconds, quickly and easily preventing dangerous suspension trauma.

Webalert
Brittle or cracked webbing can be life-threatening. That is why all our full body harnesses are equipped with the WebAlert feature. If the red fibers woven into the webbing become visible, the harness must no longer be used.

Zmartcheck
In accordance with EN 365 (European standard), only inspected full body harnesses may be used. All relevant data – such as the date of the last annual inspection, the date of manufacture or the maximum user weight – can be accessed via smartphone thanks to the integrated ZmartCheck NFC tag.
“The anti-suspension trauma system Chair in the Air integrated directly into the full body harness is unique. I haven’t seen anything comparable from any other manufacturer. It’s also about the time factor – it significantly extends the time I have.”

The ZARGES Fall Protection Range – Modular, Practical, Safe
With its modular fall protection range, ZARGES provides the right solution for every application. By intelligently combining a harness, lanyard or self-retracting lifeline with a suitable anchorage device, a fully customizable system is created – expandable with accessories and rescue equipment for maximum safety when working at height.
Full Body Harness – The Foundation of Every Fall Protection System
ZARGES offers four carefully designed harness models for different areas of application – from a compact entry-level model for construction sites to a sit harness for rope-supported work. Each harness comes equipped as standard with essential safety features such as Chair in the Air, ZmartCheck (NFC tag) and WebAlert.
This makes it the ideal foundation for reliable fall protection – easy to use, comfortable to wear and engineered for maximum safety.
Self-Retracting Lifelines – Maximum Freedom of Movement
ZARGES self-retracting lifelines ensure a reliable connection between user and structure. Whether equipped with webbing or steel cable, compact in design or offering extended working range – all models are certified to EN 360, some are edge-tested, and can be flexibly combined with ZARGES harnesses and anchorage devices.
This makes them ideal for applications involving frequent changes of direction and a greater range of movement.
Lanyards – Flexible, Safe, Designed for Practical Use
ZARGES lanyards provide the secure connection between full body harness and anchorage point. They are available as single or twin-leg (Y-type) versions with integrated energy absorber and cover a wide range of applications – from roof work to scaffold use.
Practical features such as adjustable lengths, edge protection and high-quality connectors ensure maximum safety and user-friendly handling in every situation.
Anchorage Devices – Reliably Secured
The right anchorage points are essential for overall system safety. ZARGES offers both mobile and permanently installable solutions for steel beams, roof structures and temporary applications. All anchorage devices are certified to EN 795 and can be easily combined with lanyards and self-retracting lifelines.
When used together with a suitable harness, they form a reliable, complete solution for any challenge when working at height.
Descent & Rescue Devices – Safe Rescue in Critical Situations
For emergencies at height, ZARGES offers dedicated rescue and descent devices that enable controlled self-rescue or rapid evacuation. They complement the portfolio for professional personal protection during work at height and are fully compatible with ZARGES harnesses and anchorage devices.
This ensures not only reliable fall protection – but also fast and effective response in the event of an emergency.

Regulations & European Standards for Fall Protection – What Companies Need to Know
The legal framework for the use of personal fall protection equipment in Europe is based on Regulation (EU) 2016/425 on personal protective equipment (PPE). This regulation defines the essential health and safety requirements for PPE placed on the European market.
In Germany, these requirements are further specified by national legislation such as the Occupational Health and Safety Act (ArbSchG), which obliges employers to design workplaces in a way that prevents hazards – particularly fall risks.
In addition, accident prevention regulations issued by the German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV) as well as recognized technical rules and European EN standards apply, including:
- EN 361 (European Standard): Full body harnesses
- EN 358 (European Standard): Work positioning belts and systems
- EN 795 (European Standard): Anchorage devices
- EN 354 / EN 355 (European Standards): Lanyards with/without energy absorber
- EN 360 (European Standard): Self-retracting lifelines
- EN 363 (European Standard): Fall protection systems
These EN standards are harmonized European standards and form the technical basis for CE-compliant fall protection equipment within the European Union.
Furthermore, DGUV Rules 112-198 and 112-199 provide practical guidance on the selection, use and inspection of personal fall protection equipment. While these rules apply specifically in Germany, they are considered best practice and reflect the current state of the art.
When Is Fall Protection Mandatory?
Whenever there is a risk of falling – regardless of the specific height – employers are required under European occupational safety legislation to implement appropriate protective measures. This includes the use of compliant personal fall protection equipment where collective protection measures are not sufficient.
The decisive factor is the risk assessment – not a fixed minimum fall height.
Maintenance, Storage & Care of Fall Protection Equipment
To ensure that fall protection equipment remains fully functional at all times, regular inspections and proper storage are legally required under European safety regulations.
According to DGUV Rule 112-198 (Germany) and EN 365 (European Standard), personal fall protection equipment must be inspected and documented at least once a year by a competent person. More frequent inspections may be necessary in cases of intensive use or when equipment is exposed to harsh or aggressive environments.
Products must be stored in a dry, UV-protected environment and kept free from mechanical stress. Full body harnesses and lanyards must be replaced in the event of visible wear or after a fall – and no later than the end of the service life specified by the manufacturer.
Systems such as ZARGES ZmartCheck (NFC tag) and WebAlert significantly simplify inspection procedures and maintenance documentation.
What to Consider When Selecting the Right Fall Protection System
Professional fall protection must go beyond mere compliance. When selecting the appropriate solution, consider the following criteria:
- Certifications & European standards (e.g. EN 361, EN 355, EN 795)
- Ergonomics and wearing comfort – essential for extended periods of use
- Weight & load capacity – ideally approved for users up to 150 kg
- Ease of use – especially important for occasional users
- Compatibility – with existing equipment and anchorage devices
- Ease of inspection and maintenance – e.g. NFC-based inspection tracking
